The Dream

For some time now, there was dream of starting a business that would be prosperous, successful, affluent and driven to accurately deliver the highest quality of work which cultivates the needs of all its clients.

Working at one of the largest food distribution company, the idea of Affluent was born in 2016.  In the early stages, I started processing tax returns on the side but always in the back of my mind, I needed to market my brand on a full time base.  Contemplating how to leave the company that I have been with for nearly 20 years to start my own business.  How will I make it without the salary I have grown accustom.  But how? When? I then talked myself out of leaving and decided not to take that chance right away.  I planned to retire in 6 years and start the business full time.  However January 2020, I parted with my employer.  I was ok and then realized now I can focus on my brand.  I was given the opportunity to bring my vision to existence for Affluent.

Affluent’s purpose is to bring affordable tax and accounting services to individuals and small businesses.  In 2017, I partnered up with a Franchise Tax Service to aid me in my journey as I acclimated myself learning their systems and processes relating to taxes.  I am so thankful to the Service for my opportunity.  To this day our rapport is still going strong.

With education and work history, there is over 30 years of experience in multiple professional accounting areas in industries such as consulting, engineering & planning, meat packing, food distribution, real estate and income tax.  Affluent is currently looking for new opportunities, experiences, challenges and most of all knowledge.  Affluent is the best solution for tax and accounting needs due to my extensive background and my passion for accounting.  Affluent will bring efficiencies, reliability, integrity and the ability to execute projects with the highest level of professionalism.

Affluent is excited to announce the onboarding of our 1st ever Business Development Manager.  We are excited to have Richard W join us; he brings extensive experience and resourcefulness.  This partnership will bring new clients to the overall trajectory of the company success through increased sales.
